No One Can Stop Me! The 8th Annual Abilities Expo
Hosted by the Plainfield Abilities Group and Louis Joliet Mall
JOLIET, Ill. – April 19, 2018 - Louis Joliet Mall is thrilled to partner with the Plainfield Abilities Group, a team of volunteers who have made it their mission to develop productive programing for disabled people in Plainfield Township. For their first event, Louis Joliet Mall and the Plainfield Abilities Group are pleased to co-host the Eighth Annual Abilities Expo on Saturday, May 5.
“Living with a disability can present challenges for the person with the disability, caretakers, educators, etc. As a result, there is a never ending need for new products, services & technologies to improve the quality of life. The Expo will provide avenues to improve care, educate and network with over 60 exhibitors.” said Marie Adams, expo coordinator and Plainfield Abilities Group committee member.
The expo will take place throughout Louis Joliet Mall and will feature more than 60 exhibitors with the goal of raising community awareness about citizens with special needs, as well as enhancing their self-sufficiency. Visitors are invited to interact with exhibitors’ products and services, ranging from service dog demonstrations to legal services, to rehabilitative care/services. Visitors are also welcome to participate in workshops and check out products including wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, and more.
Stop by Louis Joliet Mall on Saturday, May 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to support this vital organizations and the people of Plainfield Township.
