Louis Joliet Mall Announces “The Challenge: Battle of the Pop-Up”
JOLIET, Ill. – June 27, 2018 - Calling all local entrepreneurs: now is the time to bring your idea to the second Battle of the Pop-Up! Submit an innovative product, concept, or business strategy to Louis Joliet Mall’s startup competition, the Battle of the Pop-Up: Holiday Edition. Open now through Friday, July 20, Louis Joliet Mall invites entrepreneurs to enter for a chance to win six months of rent-free space in the center beginning Thursday, November 1.
Louis Joliet Mall’s Battle of the Pop-Up prize package is valued at up to $25,000 and includes signage, visual merchandising and fixtures in addition to free space at a kiosk.
“Battle of the Pop-Up showcases our city’s talent, and we’re delighted that it’s available to both established and budding entrepreneurs who may have new, existing or online concepts to test,” says Sandy Maldonado-Martinez, the marketing director at Louis Joliet Mall.
To enter, participants must be prepared to obtain a business license before November 1, 2018 and operate their store during mall hours from November 1, 2018 through April 30, 2019. Entries will be judged on business strategy, concept creativity, and likelihood of profitability among other criteria. The deadline for entries is July 20, 2018. There is no cost to enter.
