Kicker Showcase and Silent Auction
JOLIET, Ill. – April 19, 2018 - Everyone in our community is invited to kick up their heels in Carson’s Court at Louis Joliet Mall when DJ “Coyote” Jay cues up the country music during the Joliet Country Kickers Showcase to Benefit St. Jude on Sunday, May 6.
The live, country-dance showcase runs from noon to 4:00 p.m. and includes a silent auction, free dance lessons, and five dance groups from the Joliet County Kickers in non-stop performances. All proceeds from the silent auction go to St. Jude Children’s Cancer Research Hospital to benefit families whose children are undergoing treatment for childhood cancer.
“While this is an afternoon of fun for guests; we’re truly pleased to partner with and support St. Jude’s to help raise funds and awareness of childhood cancer and disabilities,” says Sandy Martinez, marketing director at Louis Joliet Mall.
Martinez expects Sunday’s silent auction bidding to get as high as as some of the country dancers’ kicks. Five Joliet Country Dance Clubs will entertain the crowds and invite onlookers to join in the line dancing, partner dances and more. In between silent auction bids, step up for a free dance lessons from one of the dance club members. DJ “Coyote” Jay, a legend in our community for bringing country-dance nights back to the Willowbrook Ballroom, will provide the tunes and special lighting effects during the spirited event.
